As the first quarter of 2021 wrapped up, the Tower Defense genre saw considerable activity in Latin America. Sensor Tower's data provides a clear view of how these games performed on the unified platform, combining iOS and Android insights. Here's a look at the top five contenders and their performance metrics.

Plants vs. Zombies™, published by Electronic Arts, maintained steady revenue throughout the quarter, peaking at $1.5M in the first week of January and ending strong with $1.5M in the last week of March. Downloads showed a slight decline from 340K in the last week of December to 288K by March end, while weekly active users saw a drop from 2.1M to 1.8M.

The sequel, Plants vs. Zombies™ 2, from PopCap, also displayed a robust following. Revenue reached $30K at the beginning of the quarter but dipped to $21K towards the end. Downloads hovered around the 240K mark at the start and rose to 198K by the quarter's close. Active users presented a strong start at 2.7M, ending slightly lower at 2.6M.

Outfit7 Limited's Swamp Attack exhibited growth in revenue, jumping from $672 to $1.3K by March end. The game's downloads surged in February, reaching a peak of 93K, and weekly active users increased consistently from 149K to 226K.

The newer entrant, Rush Royale: Tower Defense TD by MY.GAMES B.V., showed a promising start with revenue soaring to $12K mid-quarter before stabilizing around $8K. The game's downloads peaked at 45K in mid-March, and active users peaked at 134K in the same period.

Lastly, Kingdom Rush Tower Defense TD from Ironhide S.A. had a modest revenue trend, starting at $827 and ending at $729. The game experienced a slight decline in downloads from 33K to 20K and a decrease in active users from 141K to 99K.
